Can anyone verify the part numbers for the Sport shocks?

I have the following part numbers:

Front - Motorcraft # AM909G (F6SZ18124AA)
Rear - Motorcraft # AS1030G (F7AZ18125KA)

That is correct for the front.

Those rears are changed up to the same number as the base model shocks .... AFAIK, the Sport rears are no longer available through Ford or Motorcraft.

cheers,

Yeah, that's what I figured. I have heard that the LX rears are still decent though. Especially when compared to the aftermarket counterparts.

So, the rear sport shocks WERE # AS1030G (F7AZ18125KA)????? I've got sport rear shocks and they're white.... my current stock shocks are black... was the number for the sport shocks used on the LX shocks when canceled?

Well, the shocks arrived on Friday and the fronts are black and the rears are white. Does this mean that the rears are genuine sport shocks? If so, Rock Auto still has them.

I checked around here in South Florida and found the rear OEM sport shock (F6SO 18880 CA - made in Spain - color black) is no longer available. It's been replaced by the Motorcraft AS 1030 G - color white, which is for the LX and and now the sport.

The replacement shock seems to work well. But the white shock was smaller in diameter and the shaft was also smaller. I couldn't use the old shaft bushing that fit on the OEM sport shock and went into the trunk opening. The bushings that come with the "white" shock must be used.

I've heard that you can purchase the Tokico shock for the Super Coupe, set it on firm and end up with the same firmness as the OEM sport shock. Haven't tried that myself.

I did a search on rock auto and the front sports do not come up in the list. What is the native application for the am909g sport front?
