My steering system is making a whole lot of winding noise all the time. my fluid level is perfect, and it doesn't look that bad to be causing such a jaw-clenching noise. i'm willing to bet it's the belt-driven pump, b/c as the rpm's go up, so does the audible winding. I don't really know, all i know is that i need to fix it fast, b/c people are really turning heads at me everytime i pull into any public place. it's really embarassing.

Put some limited slip additive in it, or change the fluid to meron V or synthetic

When was the fluid changed last? It won't cost much to change it. Stop by a dollar store, get their cheap stuff to flush the system with, and use the high-quality stuff for the last 'flush.' That got rid of the little noise I heard on my car, and made the steering a lot better.
