Ok my stereo comes on when i trun on my running lights but if i dimm them it turns off....what causes this and how can i fix it.....

It isn’t wired properly. If you are saying the radio only comes on when the lights are turned on it is being powered by the dashboard illumination circuit.

The orange striped wire is the dimmer. Many stereos do not use it, some do.

If yours doesn't use it, just tie it off and make sure its not grounding out on something.

thanks guys....i think it has somthing to do with the stupid schosce adapter i used
