Hi folks!:) I am hoping someone can help me in my search. I would like to install a Vortech or Paxton supercharger in my 93 Cougar 5.0. I have been looking for about three weeks now, and still no results. Here's what I do know:
-93 Cougar 5.0's, 93 T-birds 5.0's, and 94/95 Mustang 5.0's all use the same pulley config.
-No one offers a supercharger for a 93 Cougar 5.0.

Here's what I don't know:
-Is the 93 T-bird's engine compartment similar to my 93 Cougar's?
-Does anyone sell a kit for the 93 T-birds?

If any one can help me on my hunt, please do!:D Thanks, JohnnyD.

A Bird's engine bay is identical to a Cougar's, for any comparable engine in any given year. I.E. any '89 SC/XR7 is identical under the hood, as is any '97 4.6 LX or XR7.

There are some centrifugally blown 5.0s here, the only one that comes to mind is LX-Tasy (I'm a 4.6 guy, don't spend much time here)...I'm sure if you search or PM him he can point you in the right direction.

You could always do a search for Lonnie Doll's 5.0 Bird. It's got a centrifugal supercharger on it. You might even PM him about it. He's usually pretty good at answering PMs. He just recently moved to Florida, so he may not be set up in his new home just yet.

Yes Lonnie has one.. but he wrote an article in the tech articles about how difficult it is to install one. Lots of fabrication.

Lxtasy is using my old kit. The kit uses a Vortech S-trim supercharger. I machined my own brackets, however I did use parts from a 94-95 Vortech Mustang kit, such as air inlet and dicharge. ASP cog pulleys from a 94/95 stang were used. I have pics available but nowhere to host, so e-mail me if you want o see them.(info in my sig)
