I was wondering if this would be a feasible change?

Taking out the gauge cluster of my 1987 Thunderbird LX and switching it with one from a 1988 Mercury Couger XR7? The Cougar's cluster is completely digital while the Thunderbird's is about half.

And ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated. Out of the switch I would gain a tachometer and some other digital gauges.

This may be differnt for fox bodies, but in my 89, ford didn't wire tach, oil or volts because the original cluster didn't display them. ended up putting in an LX engine harness. Wish I had just gotten some Autometers.
