bout dam time too, this thing is grat, i went with the cable clutch. Thanks to the 2 dudes that i emailed, can remember who though

holy cow... a t3550...

isnt that the tremec 5-speed? did you hafta mod the tranny for it fit right or anything? i wanna get a standard, but i dont have the money yet. how much did it cost you total?

Yep its a tremec, the 3550 is a direct replacement for a 5.0L which is what i have, the 3650 is for a modular motor, the t-45 is a better one imo for a mod. basic price list

Tranny & bellhousing $1400
Clutch, ram power grip 250
Flywheel Free
Driveshaft, DennisR 485
A shifter lever, not the Free
shifter
Adjustable clutch quadrent 100
came with the cable
89 Mustang pedal 20 from a bone yard
assembly

I had to weld some sheet metal to make the firewall flat to mount the cable bushing to. Um, the crossmember needed no modification except 2 spacers between the mount and the tranny, dunno if this is needed on the t-5
