Thursday morning i was drivin to school, traffic had stopped in front of me, about a second or 2 later after i stopped, i felt this harsh jolt from behind, thinkin oh no, the rear end of my car is gone... I pull over get out of the car, i look, to find theres hardly any damage to rear cept to the bumper! The guy that hit me was in a neon doing about 25-30 mph, his car wasnt so lucky. Hood was bent up, fluid leaking out of the front of the car, and he was unable to restart the vehicle. I wasnt hurt at all or anythin like that, i was just shocked at how little damage my car took compared to the 04 neon.

Well, if you slammed in to the back of the Neon, his car would take way less damage than yours. The front of the car is designed to crumple and absorb impact much more aggressively than the rear of the car.

But the Tbird does seem to be quite a bit more rigid than a lot of other vehicles I've seen.

when i was 17 a lady in a red 95 tbird made an unsafe left turn in front of my grandmas 89 cougar, when i was doin about 30-35 mph, the car was still running after i hit it, i was able to pull off to the side of the road, put it in park, shut the car off, and the doors still opened. The front end was messed up a bit, but it did pretty well. I took more dmg considering i hit her on the side.

I can.. it depends on how fast that lady was driving. If she wasn't going too fast, the it probably didn't do alot of damage to her car.

One small, almost negligible difference. I was doing over 70 when I hit it. If I had been doing 30 the LE would more than likely have survived, and maybe even the deer as well.

AndyR's "Deerslayer LX" has survived 2 deer and a jump into a field.

Hey, I like that idea of marking off the deer. I may have to do something like it.
