I need this pulley for my 95 T-bird 4.6L. Mine is squeeling bad. I called ford and they only sell the tensioner/idler arm unit for $65.00 Is there anywhere I can just buy just the tensioner pulley?

Thanks,
Scott

the pulleys are all the same, you can buy them at napa under the gates name I beleive. They are about six bucks a piece for the new pulley.

You can remove the tensioner and install a new pulley in it.

The idler pulley and the tensioner pulley are now identical parts.

Just give Dan Newman a call for the best price.

Should be around $10 bucks, give or take.

The design has been upgraded with better seals, and a better bearing.

I just called a few parts stores for the idler pulley.

Autozone $19.95
Kragen $21.99
Pepboys $24.99
Napa $18.88 (Gates)

Those $$ seem high too me.

those seem about right on. My idler is a Gates and cost me 20$. The dealership had the same for 22$. Maybe its a regional thing....

I'll pull out my receipts, but I paid $9 for one, and $11 for a second one a year later.

These were from a Motorcraft distributor in Albany.
