I have a '95 4.6 Cougar down here in Texas. Now that it's finally warming up down here my electric fan has been strangely silent. What can I do to test my fan to find out if I've got a problem and whether it's the fan motor, the thermostat, or something else?

If the t-stat was stuck on your car the fan would be on constantly, id say its either the fan or wiring, if you have a DVOM check the ground wire and both voltage wires at operating temp
Have you checked the fuses?

turn on your A/C. this should turn on the fan i believe. also, the temp has to get to like 216 for low speed fan.

you can always jump power to the fan to see if motor is good or bad, wires could be bad so on an on..
