I'm glad I don't have to make any deliveries in downtown this week. They closed off a few of the main thoroughfares for the filming.

Pittsburgh is a good city for filming. Bad for traffic, but good for movies.

I thought it was really cool too. No, they didn't destroy the car. I really hope this scene makes it into the movie with the car in the shot.

I found it on YouTube in this video from :53 to about 1:00

You can see where the Batmobile drove right past the car.

Here's a few more pix my buddy sent to me. He cropped the pictures without realizing I wanted the shot with both the vehicles in the picture. I asked him to send me the original. Hopefully he still has it.

There was a bird on burn notice tonight. Or I should say 2 birds.

Went from a sport with nice clear headlights and power antenna to an lx with fading b pillar tape, headlights and a standard antenna.

Just saw on the show "Burn Notice" on USA, they used a teal 96/97 with sport wheels and a spoiler on the trunk to crash a gate. Small part but it was there and looked pretty clean.

Ack you beat me to it. I didn't see the first one with the clean head lights and the SC wheels, I must have missed part of it. I just saw a few minutes of it while going to the kitchen. It did have leather seats though (the one that crashed the gate).

I caught one in one of my favorite newish movies. Zombieland. Columbus and Tallahassee push a burned car out of the way, the car behind them on top of another car is a burned to the ground thunderbird.

This may have been mentioned already...

In the movie, "Clockers" Delroy Lindo drives a "brand new" green Mark VIII with chrome "20-spoke" wheels (the movie came out in '95.) Guess the car was a '93 or a '94 based on that. The cool part was that the car got a lot of screen time. There are several scenes where he pulls up in it and one actually in the car driving.

BTW, check this out: http://www.imcdb.org/

On an episode of the Sopranos a few weeks back Bobby was driving a Mark VII.
Ralphie drives a Mark VIII as well.

Yep I just recently watched that movie. There's even a scene where Delroy Lindo threatens to splatter Mekhi Phifer's brains of all over the "corinthian leather" lol

Yes, it's on this site I quoted above:

I'm kidding - I have no idea where that wing came from.

Here is another view:

Why do people insist on putting directional wheels on backwards?

Those wheels (on the 92 with the wing and louvers) don't have a left and a right, they are all the same, and on one side of the car go one way, and go the other on the other side.

Was this a ford decision, or an owner with a sense of... style? :)
