So I'm putting coolant into my bird because the t-stat is shot somewhat, and I look down at the radiator and I noticed in front theres a tiny little and narrow radiator in front of the engine radiator. Call me stupid, but is this part of radiator or something thats aftermarket? No pictures, sorry.

You talking about the AC condensor? It is nearly the size of the radiator height and width wise?

I'm not sure, its like 4 or 5 inches tall, thinner than a radiator and long, maybe 12 inches. It's like the size of the end of a canoe paddle.

Might be the power steering cooler or A/C condensor, just follow the line's .

I'd get pictures if I hadn't dropped my camera and it busted into a few lovely shiv like pieces. But I looked and it looks like the lines running from it go back and well I couldn't see really much more in my quick peak.

It should be easy enough to see if the lines go to the power steering pump or not.

does this radiator looking thing lay horizontal or vertical.. if it's horizontal (as mine is) it's the power steering cooler, if it's vertical then it's more than likely the a/c condensor. unless a previous owner put in a auxillary transmission cooler.

from your discription that is your powersteering cooler, not sure how effective it is... but our cars come with one stock.... I replaced mine with a better one that gave more room for my trans cooler and oil cooler and oil filter relocater. It just seemed like it was in the middle of where I wanted to put things, so I ditched it and got a better design that was a little more space friendly.... and they all have switch fans and gauges.... over kill probably... but I like it I control how hot I want my car :tongue:

Mine has what looks like an extra transmission cooler under the radiator. Is this possible? It has a Ford part number on it and the transmission burnt up on the PO. Did Ford have an add on cooler?
