Wow ! this is my all time favorite album , got the vinyl right after it came out back in the early 80´s , played it until it was paperthin , was unavailable for several years due to copyright problems , finally the CD came out in the late
90´s , I will be listening to it today !

I have the Soundtrack, and the VHS version, but the Original Movie was slightly different than the Video.

There are two scenes that are different than the Original Theater release, and I'm wondering if they put it back for the Blu-Ray version.

I've never found any info on it, but there's a scene with Devo's "Working in a coal mine" where they dig up the Lop Nar, and another scene I can't remember at the moment.

The "Working in a coal mine" song plays during the credits, with a still of the scene that was cut.

I saw that movie a few hundred times WBW, lol.

Matt, check out Mob Rules album; there's a song E5I5O that just precedes it in the movie; it's not on the soundtrack.

Someone told me today “don’t let the bastards grind you down”, and it made me think of this. 15-20 years ago I used to drive around blasting these guys all the time. I need to dig their cds out and start doing that again!

I had a boss in the late 70's with a sign in his office:

"Illegitimi non carborundum"

He said it translated to "Don't let the bastards grind you down."

It's not actually latin, as I found out years later, but still cool.

:)

Yup, the album cover had that phrase on a scroll across the bottom, and DLTBGYD in calligraphy letters beneath it.

Reminds me I had to ask someone what SKA was, lol.

We called it all Punk Rock. :)

At the time, that included Motorhead, lol.

That's one of my favorite movies, lol.

People use to give us **** at the beach for TN "Lake Shorts" but I now have a printed pic of Lemmy wearing some I'll show to the next ******* that says anything. :)

Dude was larger than life, and the epitome of a Rock Star.

I've been listening to him since the 70's; they were the prototype for Metallica and all who came later.

Wouldn't you love to have been in a bar somewhere, and see dude sitting there, and drink a few beers with him?

He had that "Cool Hardass" attitude, and getting punched out by Lemme would be at the top of my bucket list.

Wow! This was posted briefly in 4K and then taken private. Fortunately someone ripped a copy and re-posted it!

Lightning like you've never seen it before!

I bought the new 10-disc set from the original Woodstock and have been listening to it over the last couple of weeks. Some of the performances are epic (Santana, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone), some are better than I expected (Mountain in particular), many are good or at least OK, and a few are weird (Incredible String Band) are just plain bad (why did they let Melanie sing?). Overall I like having this sampler of every act at the festival, but I'm glad I didn't spend the $800 for the 38-CD set of every song performed!

Mike,

Is Fortunate Son from CCR on it? I heard that the CCR Woodstock release doesn't have it.

When I was a kid, I thought "Have you ever seen the rain" was "Limousine Rain", lol.

This was long before the internet, where you can look up lyrics. :)
