Not sure what this loud squeaky noise is when I turn the steering wheel.

Power steering fluid is full. Is not hard to turn, just noisy.

Video with sound on Youtube:

Anyone had this noise before?

Thank you!

So, ball joints are in my future.
Or rather in your present.

Start calling your local parts stores and asking if they have the greaseable lowers. Someone's bound to have a NOS set.

...by which I mean: do it soon (before they pop).

Front uppers are 3 bolts, and you need a 18mm ratcheting wrench, and the lowers are three bolts as well. this is one of the easier repairs to do.

Amazon.com: 14 Pc Complete Suspension Kit Upper & Lower Control Arms with Ball Joints Front & Rear Sway Bars Links Tie Rod Linkages Rack & Pinion Bellow Boots : Automotive

I bought this "complete suspension" set about two years ago off of Amazon and its been in the garage ever since. And not just because of laziness, although maybe a little procrastination. No, I blame tccoa! Well, kinda. I ordered that set right after I bought the car and was ordering things I thought it would need. Then I found tccoa and read on here that the suspension parts on Amazon are crap, ect. But now, as the parts are hard to find, and I already have them.... and I could do it myself, save $, I think I will try them out. Unless I can find something better on Amazon, they do have moog and dorman.

I will pick up a 18" ratcheting wrench tomorrow.

I will go through the site and try and find directions, but if you know of any helpful threads on the subject please share. Dont be afraid to dumb it down for me.

Reuse the factory steering bellows. all aftermarket are garbage and disintegrate after a year or so. Ask me how I know...

Also sitting next to the suspension parts are these brake parts. I suppose if I am going to do the ball joints I should do brakes at same the time.

Just want to confirm that the size I got is right: Front 294mm & Rear 258mm Brake. In one of the reviews someone with a Cougar said the front was not the right size for their car.

I've got a set of the mustang PBR dual piston calipers on my parts car along with two new sets of pads. I would make you a sweet deal if you want to upgrade.
