This was mentioned once before if I recall. I discovered that putting an 04 Mustang Plenum and TB on the T-bird 4.6 results in too much slack as well. What I did was climb up under the dash, pull the cable out a little and cut the "knob" off the end. Then I slid a cable clamp onto it, pulled it snug, and tightened the clamp. haven't had any problems with it. BUT as I HATE working in those tight, dark, upside down quarters when I put the same TB and Plenum on the new car I'm going to try putting a spacer between the TB and Plenum. I bought a 1" spacer on Ebay but found it was too thick. So now I have to find a machine shop that can cut it down to about 1/2".
