Is the bolt/nut that holds the spring/strut assembly on at the lower control arm the only fastner that needs to be tightened/torqued while the vehicle is on the ground?
In the front suspension both the lower shock mount and the lower controls arm (frame) bushing should be tightened while the vehicle is at or near ride height.
you don't need to ground the vehicle.. you can use a jack under the LCA and lift it to the point where the car just comes off the jackstand ( or as close as possible ), then tighten it
