Just got a new set of chains (4.6) today from Dan. Comparing them to the ones that came off with 129,000 miles on them, the old ones are much tighter than the new ones are. What's the deal? There is a lot of play in the new ones, so I'm wondering if you alls had any input. Thanks

Now I'm not absolutely sure, but......
Don't the tensioners pump up with oil pressure?? I really dont know, but Im taking a stab. should probably replace the nylon tensioners at the same time.

Yes, the tensioners run from oil pressure, but I am just talking about the chains themselves. I haven't put the new ones on yet. I am comparing them to roller chain, if you can bend it the way it is not suppose to bend too much it is shot, right?? Now the new timing chains are like this compared to the old ones.
