Ok i have a tlock 3.27 differential sitting in the garage and an open 3.27 in my car, could i just take the track lock out of the old differential and put it in the one in my car? Would the pinion and gear mate up and would i have to worry about different shim sizes and etc. if i did would i have to buy a rebuild kit?

I would suggest the rebuild kit, but it's not necessary. As far as the shims, I would say to have some on hand just in case, and definately check the backlash before you get it all bolted back together. A friend of mine showed me how to do it the right way, and the easy way, if you want to know the easy way, PM me. I was sceptical about taking a shortcut, but this guy's got a couple 10 second cars, and he showed me with the gauge, and then the easy way, and they were both in tolerance easily.
