I was just wondering if there are any break-in procedures for a new Trac-Lok, I read the article in the tech section on fresh gears, but I was wondering if there is any additional stuff needed so my Trac-Lok gets broken-in and not broken.

just go easy on it about 100 miles or so, otherwise you'll burn the clutches

A little of topic perhaps but I'm pulling the pumpkin in two weeks
and those circlips everyone is talking about..
Where are they located?? Inside or outside the pumpkin?
Got two new so if I break 'em it doesn't matter but
I want to do it right the first time..
The circlips looks like a G right??

The C-clips I got is that something I have worry about or is
that for the gear & trac-loc installer to worry about??
NOT doing the gear swap myself as you probably understood..
Waaay to complecated.. :D

to remove the pumpkin you have to remove one of the hub assemblies and pull the half shaft right out, then drop the pumpkin a lil bit with a jack and pull the other half saft out. no c-clips holding them in

The C clips on IRS axle shafts are differant than on others. They are attached to the shafts, and snap into special recesses in the side gears. When you install the shaft, you just slide it in to line up the splines, then push till they lock. To remove, just put a large screwdriver between the pumpkin and inner joint housing and pry it a little. The C clips stay on the axles all the time.
