i am taking my rear in to get rebuilt. i went with a complete new trac loc unit from auburn and was just curios if it has the clips already in it to hold the axle? just want to make sure i have all the parts before taking it in. thanks wes

I may be wrong, but Auburn uses "cones" and Ford uses "discs". The Auburn gives more holding power because the cones have more surface area than the Ford flat discs. :thumbsup:

But they both work on the exact same principle, "friction". :D

Please explain Your defination of a "True Posi" (Positive Traction).

The Trac-Loc (Traction Lock) & Posi (Positive Traction) are BOTH Clutch type Limited Slip Differentials. The Auburn is a Cone type Limited Slip Differential.
