well it started a while back...my problem is as follows...everytime the car is cold, the tranny really delays to switch on third gear...it goes thru first and second fine, but before it is about to hit 3rd...it continues reving for little...till it hits third...but thats about 5-15 seconds later, depending on how hard i accelerate. also sometimes, even when fully warm...when i try to get on the freeway for example, the car goes thru 1st, 2nd, then it kinda double shifts if u wanna call it...it continues reving after 2nd, hits 3rd, and very very fastly hits 4th....it never continues acceleration on 3rd...what could be my problem????
2-3 accumulator malfunction? Is your fluid full? My old AOD would act that way when it was cold out when the fluid was a little low. I would figure the 4R70W would too. Worth a shot.
Um, my 97 trans did that after I put in the TransGo kit. I pulled it apart and found that I had forgot to tighten one of the valve body bolts. It had a crossleak that wasn't allowing it to hold third gear. Sounds like yours has a crossleak also.
mine does it only when its cold, but it just "doubleshifts" 1 - 2... I broke a corner bolt off in the valve body while doing Jmod. Have yet to fix it.
