Ok so I am going to have a bunch of tranny work done soon and I was thinking of getting a Mark VIII torque converter instead of a new stock converter (mine is shot). I'd also like to get the Jerry Mod done while it's apart.

I know these have probably been asked a million times:

How much more is a MK8 converter vs. stock 95 Bird converter?
What is the part number for a MK8 converter? What year MK8 converter should I use?

What parts do I need for a Jerry Mod and about how much do they cost?

I'd appreciate any info, links, etc. anyone can give.

you probably want to check junk yards for the TC, or you can order it from Dan at Five Star Ford (800) 866-1520. last time i checked it was about $200 for the Mark VIII TC and the new flexplate through him for TCCoA members. if the tranny is down and the TC is being replaced, the stock tbird unit should be out of the question if you are looking for any performance off the line.
