Well I got my trans back from the shop, however after talking to the guy he said he didnt install the 5k rpm module. I was pissed for a bit, but then I was ok I guess. Also for some reason he modified my exhaust (had to take it off to get to the trans), cause it sounds louder now (I dont mind this)

The guy also told me that I should drive in OD from now on, to quote "lets the trans do what its supposed to do." The thing is though, in OD it seems like its hard to go high speeds now. Im talking 80+. (4th OD gear) Does the 5k module do/add anything specific?

Thank you in advance.

awww man, you should have done the install yourself, not hard at all. i hope he didnt charge an arm and a leg for it. the 5k rpm part is the best part :). im not sure what the guy told you is exactly true. i had a transgo installed recently, and i have done a few manual shifts out of first at 5k rpms. everything is still fine now. i noticed that it takes the car longer to get up to higher speeds, but i havent gotten it up to 80+ mph yet. did the guy drill the x and y holes in the separator plate? if so, the 3-4 shift should be very hard. i think the 5k rpm parts allow the tranny to shift out of first at 5k rpms at WOT. someone chime in if im wrong.
