How long (mileage please) are most of your transmissions lasting before needing major work or overhaul done ?

I'm almost at 115k and the tranny does the job but it does have some issues.

1994 - 77k miles, too many neutral drops, went out with a BANG

1995 - 55k miles, ran low on fluid then overfilled ( not me ) = roller clutch blown

1997 - 155k miles, lasted a good while and started slipping then lost 3rd gear completely .. driving on the freeway in 2nd gear after that

165,000 before losing all gears one at a time with a 90 AOD
210,000 on a 91 AOD that is fine other than not shifting past second
180,000 on a j-modded 96 4R that hasn't shuddered even once yet
215,000 on an unmodded 94 4R that shifts slower than it should but otherwise acts fine

A guy on the Lincoln forum had all service records from a salesman's town car that he bought with very high miles. It was serviced at 30K intervals with mercon V, large cooler, and all the minor issues were taken care of. The trans lasted until 500K! The engine is still stock fully stock except for new valve seals. This would be the same drivetrain as a 95 bird.
