Hi Guys,

I'm flying down on Sunday the 11th of November for a weeks worth of work in Homestead.

I'll be working nights but should have some time free at the beginning and end of this project.

As always reply here or shoot me a PM if you'd like to get together and we'll see what we car work out...

Cheers,
:zbeer:

I'm at the Hampton Inn in Homestead, FL for the forseeable future.

IDK were or when I'll be some place. It's one of the mysteries of my job. The last time I was near Tallahassee was in January when I was in Dothan, AL.

I'm a power plant inspector. Most of what I do is nuclear work. So, where ever in the country there is a power plant there's a possibility I could go there to work.

I used to install computer networks in banks and we did First National Bank of Homestead right after hurricane Andrew (that place was LEVELED). How did the nuclear plant hold up?

It's doing well. IDK how the unit faired through Andrew. That was a long time ago and I wasn't in the industry then.

That place is built like a brick sh!thouse - as are all nuke plants - and can withstand most anything nature can throw at it. There have also been a lot of system reviews and upgrades to systems and procedures since the disaster in Japan last year.

I can't go into detail, but rest assured the US nuke fleet is very safe.

What kind of training did you have to do/go through to get into your line of work? College degrees, etc? I've been curious about this field for quite some time.
