I am looking to add a prop to my trunk following the instuctions listed in the forums. The info I need is how long is the prop overall? I work at a truck cap manufacting place and we have these gas shocks laying around all over the place for much less then 20 bucks...most of them only cost me around 5 bucks. I was just wondering if someone has a measurement on the total open length. Thanks~

I purcahsed my lift struts from Dan Newman, using the part number in the write up that I did.

That part number must be superceded, because I just went and checked the ones I have. This appears to be a newer part number;

F5ZB 63406A10 BA

They have the name STABILUS on them, and are located in Gastonia, NC 28052

The fully extended length is 19 1/8", measuring from center of ball socket to center of ball socket.

The rod moves inward a maximum of 7 3/4"

Hope this helps.
