Hello everyone,I am collecting the parts to build a rear mount turbo system for my 1995 tbird,I already have most of the parts from my old mustang turbo set up,but my old system didn't use v band flanges and clamps.I am going to use v bands on my new set up,so my question is this.Does anyone know if the vband flanges are a different outside diameter (the outer edge where the clamp goes)on stainless ones vs mild steel ones.I ordered a t04 4 bolt to 3" v band adapter in mild steel, and ordered a 3" vband and clamp set from a different company and they sent me a stainless one when I thought I was getting a mild steel set,and the stainless v band is smaller where the band clamps onto it than the mild steel v band adapter for the turbo.I'm guessing that the stainless parts are smaller because of the stronger material. So the flanges must be made of the same material to mate up correctly, can anyone tell me if this is correct?
