Has anyone ever sent in their block to have it machined and they tell you "we can't bore it, the block is twisted?" They told me my '94 block was twisted. I used this as a perfect opportunity to get a '97 romeo block. They told me it was also twisted. Is a line bore machine supposed to be used on a 4.6? To bore my '97 block, they brought in a brass machinist or something and he made shims so they could mount my block on their bore machine. I'm still smoking out oil at like 15k. I kinda think they didnt bore it right, call me crazy. What do you think? Thanks

sounds like you have a shop that doesnt know about a 4.6 , they are twisted, that is in the design. like the cracked caps on the rods and block, that is what those outer screws are for on the main bearing journals. i have never had any machine work done on one, so i cant say how to do it.
