I just found a guy in the paper selling two LX's catch is there broke. One is a 95 other 93 so I went and checked them out,


95 T-bird 4.6 LX
stock, automatic and no rust
118,000 miles
straight body
dark green exterior tan leather interior. drivers seat is kinda poor condition.
needs paint job oxidized on the roof, trunk and hood (used to be owned in Arizona) but sides look great
needs some trans work, guy says it wont go into drive but works well in reverse.
needs tags
tires in good shape

Looks like I have lots of searching to do! I was looking a little in the 3.8 thread for swaps but I will search more on that as well as the trans problem on the 95. This is the first time in 3 years I have seen a MN12 for sell in my town. I wish I had a camera with me at the time for pics.

Should I go for this he wants to sell both for 1,200 and through in snow tires which are useless to me and he will haul away on a trailer for me. but the price has me wondering what else possible could be wrong that he is not telling me.
What do you guys think?

they are broken cars, i wouldn't pay 700 for a later model 3.8 with a blown headgasket, let alone a 93, it may be worth 2-300 bux tops to me, the 95 with a bad tranny on the other hand 3-400, maybe 500 but that's pushing it. it have to be in real good shape. junkyard prolly wouldn't give him more than a 100 bux apiece for them, so you do the math. take my 92 3.8, for example, it ran good, looked good and everything worked, still does, i paid 600 bux for it and that was back in 02 or 03, so it was 10 or 11 yrs old at the time. as a matter of fact you wouldn't believe how much i got my 94 lx with a bad tranny for. ;)

You got room to store them? If good, use for parts or whatever. Have some fun with them. Sell interior, body pieces, run around a field and into trees and stuff. :D

Well I thought the price was a little cheep. But what do I know about buying cars you guys would sh*t yourself if I told you what I paid for the 95 I have now. So I'm glad I asked here. I don't think the guy is wanting to sell them that cheep but I will try.

I have space to store them. I think there in good enough condition to not part out in my opinion.

wow you too. i payed 600 bucks for mine and all it had was a craked windshield. and hmmm my dad owns his own autoglass shop. soo...... his cost on the whole window was 70.00. oh and all you guys out there the front one may be cheap, but the back window is 390.00 his cost then you got labor, glue, and anything else. so dont go breakin the backglass. ;) but ya i got mine cheap and its had no mechanical problems other than i blew out a ball joint at 20 last summer. and its got a suspension thats from the factory.(wich i have the new suspension now) but other than that. its a good old car.
