So you want to convert a 94 from a 4R70W to an AOD?

The bellhousing bolt pattern is different between a 3.8 and a 4.6.

To repin the connector means to release the pins and put them in a different place.

The bell housing is integral with the transmission case.

You mean you have a 4R70W case with the SBF bellhousing bolt pattern, and want to transfer the internals of a mod motor transmission to the correct case?

You can use a 4r70w off any v6 mustang (I saw a 2004 at the yard last week) that should have the correct bell housing. That is A LOT easier than transferring internals !!!

Repinning just means moving some of the wires around in the plug that goes into your transmission.
You're going to have to use all the solenoids from your old transmission.

If that '03 low-mileage 4R70W is from a v6-equipped car and you can get it for under $100, SCORE!

Last set of questions on 2001+ trans

Ok.. I got the 2001+ trans bolted the VSS spot was blocked off with a yellow tab and a o-ring... Pulled it felt nothing.. "really don't care if i have a Speedo" i can use GPS for this.... My point is will this effect the shifting or what not? i didn't feel any splines on the output shaft.. but i went ahead and put my vss in. I have torn the pan off got down to this...

I don't get how to take it apart? with out snapping anything.. any light?
I have the old TCC and Shift sitting on the new transmission

Why can't i just use this old wiring harness? it came out easy? that would mean i wouldn't have to repin??? i still have the other harness if not... can i cut and splice that way?

Basicly i need to know with out the speedo working it should still shift either way... and of course the other questions i have asked.... Much help would get this bird on the road......
