I have seen quite a few T-Birds and Cougars running around here in Jacksonville and all the V8s have that on the fender. Was that an option or something because mine doest have them and it is a V8?Still has the orginal paint and as far as I know has never been wrecked.
Thanks for the help,
Chris

I have a 96 with a V8 and I have no badges on mine either. I have wondered the same thing myself because most of the V8's I see have them.

they stopped putting v8 badging on the t-birds in 96. You could get the v8 badging for the explorer and use that, it looks really good, and unlike the 94-95 badging, you don't have to drill holes

My 95 badges don't have holes under them. Just thought I'd pass that along.

Wow, that Explorer badge looks a heckuva lot better than the normal V8, if the light is not exactly right on the normal badges, it looks like it says V6. We all know better, of course, but I still like that nice, obvious V8. I was kinda glad mine didn't have a badge, but I gotta get me a couple of those good ones.

Cheap location

I got my emblems from some place on the internet called johnsmustang.com. For a set of two and shipping, (standard only took like a week), I ended up paying like $25.00 to $30.00- I forgot exactly how much now, but on ebay it was almost $20.00 just for one that was brand new and they wanted like $5.00 shipping. Just a suggestion.

:)

why do that, when you can get each one for about 10 bucks each new at ford?

I was thinking about getting a new/old school V8 badge. They offered on the new explorer it’s the V with the 8 on top of the V.
I've thought about getting those too, I've already replaced the plain "Thunderbird" on the black strip on my tail light with a script "Thunderbird" from a 1971 so might as well go for that Explorer/Mountaineer Retro V8 badge. Plus be different than most who are being different than stock.
