I located a small vacuum leak between the head and intake on the #8 port. Seems to be on the side by the sparkplug. It started about a day after the PI swap I did, just have not had time to investigate. It is small and the car idles well. The idle surges when I spray carb cleaner in this spot, and the whistle stops. I was thinking of just loosening the intake and reseating the gasket, and tightening it back down. Any comments or suggestions?

I'd say some rtv in the spot and forget about it. Ithink the gaskets are one time use only and there expensive. If its small you can get away with rigging it.

expensive? I paid 12$ each at the stealership. Its a manifold gasket, not a tstat o-ring.
