Thinking about getting an 96 to replace my 95. I recently did the impossible, replacing the valve seals in the car, and don't want to do that again! I know the 96s and up are better, how long can the valve seals be expected to go?

did you replace them with stock valve seals?
I'm not worried about the 95, I'm asking about the stock 96 4.6 I'm thinking about buying. I don't recall seeing any post 95s doing the stop light puff of smoke thing. How many miles can be expected from a 96 before they need replaced?

my dads 4.6 made it to 165 thousand miles then it needed new valve seals. The 96/97 may last longer but around 200 thousand miles you will be doing the same work almost always. How the well the motor was maintained matters a lot.
