Woo-hoo! Just passed the Emission Diagnostic Repair Technician test at the local community college that qualifies me to get a VA CERT license!

No plan to use it professionally, but was interested in learning more about emission system diagnostics in my now emission-exempt '95 T-bird!

Is the license the spendy part? I was looking at automotive classes generally but it seemed like more than I thought itd be

I don't know if there is a fee for the license, but if there is it would be an investment for someone that wants to work in a repair shop. The state recognizes labor costs toward an emission waiver only when performed by a licensed certified emission repair technician.

I was a state certified emissions repair specialist for Nevada for about 10 years. Now I work on semi-trucks.
