On my 90SC, The VMM is indicating that I need to change the oil, which I will be doing, but the OIL Level on the VMM shows LOW. It has been doing it on and off for a three days now.

I've checked the oil level and it's just fine. Is this coming on because the OIL CHANGE is displaying NOW or is it just an error? How is the oil level measured with this thing? Is it by pressure or a sensor that picks up the level in the pan or what?

Thanks for the help.

It's a level sensor, as far as I know, threaded into the block or oil pan on the passenger side.

You probably know how to reset the oil change indicator, but for those who don't, you have to insert a paperclip or other metal object into the little hole beside the VMM and then turn the ignition key to ON. I think you just hold it for a couple seconds, it blinks, and then you go on your way. Correct me if I'm wrong.
