Yeah, i have always been a little worried of buying/selling on ebay or even online period. So far I have had good luck. I just try to be as safe as possible.

Really sux to be those people or anyone who has been ripped at all. There are some cruel people in this world, so be carefull!

I was reading some of his auctions and he said that he did not accept paypal. It seemed like all he wanted was cash. That is what really sucks. Ebay had no way of correcting it quickly by issuing refunds.

I read about this the other day. The guy got away with something like $40000+.

Heres the blog posted in the feedback. http://alischersucks.blogspot.com/

This guy looks kind of like Jackie Chan.

I would stay away from anyone that would not take Paypal. I had someone on the F150online board that replied to my wanted head unit ad and would only take a Western Union Moneygram - no money order. When I asked if it came with the connector, she replied how many do I need. At that point I was sure it was a scam and went no further. Other than that I have bought off Ebay, Corral and this board with no problems.

Here's what I don't understand: At the top of the page Ebay says 'positive feedback' is 82.4%. Ebay says members left 493 positives and 105 negatives, and that all positive feedback received is 509. 493k+105=598. 493 divided by 598 = the 82.4% they're talking about. But at the bottom it shows for the past month 3 positives and 104 negatives. The total for past mo./past 6 mo./&past 12mo all added together is 401 positives and 320 negatives. So where do they come off with the 82.4% postitive feedback?????--which to a newby might look like a good number. Bought about 50 items off Ebay in the last 1 and 1/2 years, and all I can say is God bless paypal---maybe they ought to make it the law instead of an option.

all postive feedback is 509, but only the first positive from each person counts. Only 493 count towards his rating.

As for the past 3/6/12 months, you don't add them. the 6 month figure includes the 3 month figure, and the 12 month figure includes both the 3 and 6 month figures. anything beyond 12 months is not represented in that box.

What I'm surprised about is that nobody caught that the auctions say "no paypal." I LIVE by paypal on ebay, I won't send payment any other way simply because of their insurance $$-back guarantee

I only got screwed once, I paid $250 for an amp/sub combo several years back and never got it. This was before PayPal, obviously.

All my auctions since then have gone smooth as butter.. always use PayPal.
