My water pump sprang a leak about a week ago... so I have been adding coolant as needed. I don't want to buy a new pump if I don't have to, since I have an '02 Explorer engine (with 1 mile) on it's way, and will be putting that in in the next few months. That said, I have a water pump that came off of a 4.6 that was in a '99 F-150. My question is, will the pump from the F-150 work on my '95 4.6? The measuerments appear to be the same (as near as I can tell measuring the bad pump while on the engine), with the only difference being the threads on the end of the F-150's pump for the fan. On that note, does the pump on the Explorer engine have to be changed to work on the MN12's? If so, then I would buy a new pump and swap it over when I do the engine swap.

Thanks

It will be fine just put your pulley on and dont put the fan on/clutch for the fan.
