There are two I know of. I personally use water wetter

Redline - Water wetter (redline is manufacturer)
Royal Purple - Purple Ice (royal purple is manufacturer)

Don't ask for this stuff at hick shops, they will look at you as if you are joking. Goto a performance place and try to get it

i've heard of water wetters before...never really thought much about them...

how much does a water wetter run? i take it you need to do a coolant flush, or is it ok to just throw some water wetter in? i really dont feel like blowing out a heater core anytime soon...being in the desert and all...

sorry

You dont have to flush coolant
But if you look on the bottle it says it works best in just water

If you/he plan on using it with water be sure to only use Distilled water. You can find Distilled water at most supermarkets.

Redline water wetter is good stuff. I flush my whole system with it every fall. My routine involves some prestone super cleaner, then drain it out, and fill it up with 50% Distilled Water, and 50% Prestone, and one bottle of water wetter.

I have a tuned eec, with the 180* thermostat, and it barely gets off of the C in cold ever.

Also, for even colder system temps, get a hose and clean out the front of your radiator, lots of critters blocking up your airflow.
