Hey guys, Ive seen these items in the auto stores that claim to give the car the wet look. Im thinkin about tryin one, my car only has the base paint and no clear so it looks pretty dull, but looked sweet when I washed it yesterday. Has anyone ever tried any of these products? What are your experiences with them?

i can't believe a shop would send out a car with a 2 stage paint job with out a clear coat. It wasn't a 1 stage enamel was it? A base coat really has no UV protection in it, that task is taken care of by the clear coat. To answer you question, none of those procts will shine a 2 stage base coat without clear. I bet the water almost "soaks" into it. thats not better than running primer on the car. My guess it wax would just streak a base coat.

I am going to be the barer of bad news. You pissed your money away on a sh!ty paint job. There is no easy fix. The only thing you MIGHT be able to do and I wouldn't really reccomend it, is if the base is still in a GOOD condition and has not been on the car to long you might be able to get away with a quick scuff and clear. It won't be the best fix, but it MIGHT (agian) be better than what you have now.
If I were you I would just wait for the $$ and get it done right.

I can't beleive the a shop let it roll out with out the clear as well. They must not care about the rep of their business. . . .sounds kinda like a MACO job. :zpuke:
