OK, I need to know what color this car is. I need the paint code and actual name of the paint. The dealer said it's a light greenish gray. It's a 97. Any help here? What were the silver colors called in 97? I wish I could find my brochure from 97!!!

I don't have a 97 brochure, but do have a 96 brochure. I had a 97 parts car in that color. There looks to be a light blue or light willow green mixed in there.

That's either got a lot of metallic flake in it or it's got pearl in it.

I dont know the paint code, the car is in florida. The dealer took a pic for me, but it's too blurry to make it out. I have asked him to tell it to me, but no response. I wish I had seen a car this color before, I cant decide if I like it or not.

Arctic Green Clearcoat Metallic

Emblamer provided that to me a few weeks ago. Some that works in my complex has a sport in that color, doesn't look too bad.

Looking at that list, I'm thinking Pacific Green Clear Coat, paint code PS
PS is indeed Pacific Green however there's nothing light or grayish about that color.

There are at least two places to find the paint code, the first is on the driver side door jam certification label. It's the "EXT PNT:" field. In this example "PS" Pacific Green.

If the drivers side door jam Certification Label info is gone there is still another way to get the paint code off of your car.

Open your hood. Look at the metal radiator core support that runs from fender to fender. attached to it is the plastic header panel the headlights are mounted to. On top of the core support will be a stamped metal data tag held on by one screw. On my 97' it's located on the core support just to the passenger side of the windshield washer reservoir cap. I've seen it located on the core support in front of the air filter box on earlier model years.

The paint code is the "PS" shown on the second line to the far right. Below the word "Redacted" - (last 6 digits of the VIN #).

I found the auction. It is not silver frost. The car has a willow green interior. There are only five colors that come with the option of a willow green interior:
D8, Artic Green Metallic
PS, Pacific Green Metallic
SR, Alpine Green Metallic
WR, White Opalescent Tri-Coat
WT, Vibrant White

We can count out WT and WR since it's not white. PS and SR are too green. That leaves D8, Artic Green Metallic. Definitely one of those ambiguous colors. Same as my mom's Dodge Grand Caravan.

Well it does look silver frost in the pic above anyway. i *think* the really pale green - almost white with a hint of light green to it was the D8 "Artic Green"?

I'm not sure what the Alpine green was. something between the really light pale green and Pacific Green I guess?

Definitely doesn't look like any of the whites.

Just out of curiosity how do you know what interior colors were available with which exterior colors. I haven't come across that info yet.

I'm not sure why the Willow Green interior wouldn't be available in silver frost as well, it seems like a combination that would work well together...

BTW - the 4 digit code in the middle of hood data tag shown above is actually the month and day of production - your cars birthday in MMDD format. In this case 0416 = April 16th.

Alpine green is the color of Aaron K's car. And I found the interior colors in the link below.

There's green in that color. I walk past a '97 LE that color everyday when I go to class.

EDIT: Just looked here

It could be D8, Artic Green Metallic, as well. Maybe I should just call my dad's store and have him check his paint book.

The guy said that the interior is light grey. He might have a camera that gives a green effect?

Cougar guy, now that I look at it again, I think it is a green interior, with maybe gray seats? I can't tell for sure though, he said it's light gray, and some of it looks like it is.
