get yourself a little foaming carpet spray, mist the carpet with a hose. scrub with a brush, the vac out. onced vaced towel down then run the heater for a while. toweling is the most important step, many have to do it a few times.
I used foaming carpet cleaner, scrubbed it good with a stiff brush then used a light spray from the hose nozzle with the shopvac right next to it sucking the water right back out. Worked great and got the stains out.
I use a foaming carpet cleaner in an aerosol can called Tuff Stuff. Definately works well. Leaves a new car smell also, kin of anyways. Might have to go over the real dirty spots a couple times, but its pretty cheap.
