I just noticed a small cooant leak at the back or the drivers side above the Ex manifold. With 256K miles I am in a quandry about what to do. I don't have the time or tools to swap the heads (although I need more tools) but if the cost is high enough, a new explorer motor swap may be my method of choice to keep me from wanting to modify everything.

Thanks,

Im doing an explorer swap on mine once as the weather is better. You can get a good engine with low mileage between 1000-1500 bucks. Just swap over your accessories and little other things and your 90lbs lighter with more power to boot. Do a search on explorer engine and you'll find all the info you need.

the engine swap will probably cost you about the same after you consider parts, labor, machining.
