ok i just noticed on my d810 there is like a credit card swiper or something on the side. it fits a credit card perfectly but doesn't do anything.

Not all smart cards are created equal. You need to know what smart cards will work with your Dell. I cant help you there but if you have an HP i can ... Ha!


Call Dell and they will tell you what kind of cards you can use.

I use my smart card with HP protectools it adds that extra layer of security.
