Negatory. That is not a ground. It is a connector for the SATC lockout switch. With cars that have semi-auto temp control, there is a temp sender in the heater hose line that prevents A/C operation below a certain temperature. If you look at the metal pipe to the side of the passenger valve cover, you'll see a pipe plug where this sensor would go. Since the connector is just dangling, chances are you have the manual A/C controls and don't have to worry.

Chris is correct. If you have SATC, it will plug onto the temp sender in the heater line, otherwise it gets left unplugged.

I have a plug identical to that one, that is closer to the front of the engine (on the right side, closer to the front of the fuel rail. The only place it could have plugged into (onto?) was the stud holding the fuel rail.

However, as the one pictured above is toward the rear of the engine, it would have to be for the climate control as described.

yeah it is in the rear on the engine bay, and i do have manual contols for my a.c.
