I'm taking my broken crank and old pistons, and having someone weld them together in the position they would be in if they were inside a block. Was thinking of putting it on a platform with 4 posts on it... lay a sheet of glass over it, and voila! A coffee table! :D

As far as your cam goes, I'm with the lamp idea.

Dead motor parts for furniture rock

I plan on having another one soon, I am going to put the crank on top of the block though and cut a torchier light pole so it stands the correct height from the top of the crank. Although, I just got the idea that the block is probably an easier sell than the heads, so maybe I should bolt the heads together and use them for the base of the table...hmmmm....the possibilities. I might have the engine sold anyway so it may not matter.

If it's a roller cam, toss it on a concrete floor in front of a bunch of old chevy guys, and dare them to toss theirs. I did that and a guy was like "What's the big deal?" He dropped his old Comp Cam on the ground, and it split in 3 pieces. We then proceeded to trying to break the cam, and eventually gave up.

I still vote for my idea of making a lamp.
