I'm taking my broken crank and old pistons, and having someone weld them together in the position they would be in if they were inside a block. Was thinking of putting it on a platform with 4 posts on it... lay a sheet of glass over it, and voila! A coffee table!
As far as your cam goes, I'm with the lamp idea. :thumbsup:
I plan on having another one soon, I am going to put the crank on top of the block though and cut a torchier light pole so it stands the correct height from the top of the crank. Although, I just got the idea that the block is probably an easier sell than the heads, so maybe I should bolt the heads together and use them for the base of the table...hmmmm....the possibilities. I might have the engine sold anyway so it may not matter.
If it's a roller cam, toss it on a concrete floor in front of a bunch of old chevy guys, and dare them to toss theirs. I did that and a guy was like "What's the big deal?" He dropped his old Comp Cam on the ground, and it split in 3 pieces. We then proceeded to trying to break the cam, and eventually gave up.
Mine is growing fruit plants / trees. Right now I've got 3 avocado trees, a fig tree, a mango tree, and some pomegranate seeds.
The avocado trees are 6mo, 3mo, and 2mo old. The fig tree is 4mo old, the mango is 1mo old. The pomegranate seeds were just put in last weekend, so they haven't...
