Greetings All,

Well, the time has come to let my 94 3.8 Cougar go. I am looking at either a Cougar or TBird with a V8. There are a couple around my area, but since I am not that familiar with the V8 cars, what should I look for problem wise?

Many thanks to all who offer advice.

I second the 96/97 part. Engine wise the intake with the plastic crossover. With a 94/95 if it puffs smoke after idling for a couple of minutes then taking off. 5.0 I don't know of anything other than miles and timing chain noise.

Everything else is same as your current car. Saggy doors, cracked dash (earlier cars), front end wear parts, common 4R70W transmission stuff.
