What's the difference between driving lights, running lights, and fog lights? I guess fog lights are supposed to be used in fog...but they all look the same to me. Anyway, just wondering.

Driving lights are supposed to send an elongated beam of light well in front of the car to light the actual road more

Fog lights disperse the light in a broader area to illuminate the road, and the sides of the road

running lights are generally a marker light, but sometimes manufacturers market fog light as running lights.

fog lights are aimed very close to the car so the light is more of a glow than a beam.

driving lights are a beam point horizontal.

running lights, are Daytime running lights (ever wonder why people have their lights on at noon?). Our cars don't have this.

So are driving lights supposed to illuminate the road farther than regular headlights can?

i think driving lights and regular headlights are the same thing.
No...driving lights are much more focused (narrow beam) so they can be aimed father away.
