I just found it hanging there the other day and I cant figure it out. My tail/brake/directional lights all work (including high mount)

in the trunk under the rear deck, i never noticed it while I was installing my system.

nope. but when I got the car it had a system in it already, but I gutted that one out and put in all new 14g wiring to the amp in the trunk and I didnt notice it hanging in there then.

Maybe the plug for the brainbox for the evo [electronic variable orifice for power steering]?

The pic is kinda blurry, but it looks like the premium sound wire harness that goes to the amplifier in the back.. looks like there are 8 wires in that connector.. but u said your car doesnt have it.. hmmm

Maybe he's relating to speaker wire size.

th3subtl3on3 is right the 14g wiring goes from the speaker to the amp( not amp power wires) those are 0g. So right now my system is only using the remote, power and the ground from the original wiring of the car.
