so water doesn't get in my car

i heard from ford. what do i do? go to a dealer?

Please elaborate on the seal you need. If I am thinking right you need to remove the windshield wiper on the passanger side remove the rubber hood seal gasket and the 4 screws that hold the plastic cover down. Check to see if the seal around the verticle postion of the air inlet is cracked. If it is you need to reseal it with a good waterproof long lasting calk. The area where most people have problems is water leaking from the seal at the top of the plastic piece and the glass. This is due to years of heat and shrinkage. The best way to remedy this is to lay a bead a black silicone on the foam gasket and imediately reassembel. That should solve the water leakage problem.

there is an old tsb on this, i had to do it to my car too. and it requires a new cowel panel part too
