for a set of underdrive pullies that I got from a guy. He had to keep the bolt to re-install the old pulley. where do I get one to work with the new pullies. I believe they are ASP. I guess I should ask ASP huh ...but I haven't got the pullies yet. just asking to get an idea.

Bad info...

This is what I'm talking about. First the crankshaft bolt is a torque-to-yield type, meaning it stretches when installed and torqued. That means you SHOULDN'T re-use it. I would also get a new washer was well, but it's not my car.

Second this bolt is less than $5.00 from your Ford dealer (p.n. F1AZ-6A340-A). Third to install ASP underdrives, you need a longer bolt to START the pulley onto the shaft. Then you remove that bolt and install a NEW stock bolt and torque it to the recommendation by ASP. It's 115-120 lb.-ft. in the Ford service manual. Don't forget the dab of high temp RTV to the keyway of the pulley before you install it or it will leak oil.

A_TRAIN!!!!!!!

I haven't seen you in a long time. Of course I don't have time to scan boards daily.

Yes, after reading this stuff for 5 years I still don't have many mods and still need help from time to time.

About that washer.....what type of washer or part number is it?

I ordered the MARCH set from CarParts.com this morning after thinking about the bolt situation.....

So, I may not need the new bolt after all right?

I am going to sell the set without the bolt to someone else and keep the March Set.

thanks for the help everyone!
