4.10s or 4.30s?

4.10s or 4.30s, i may go for the 4.30s while the car is close to stock and not really to scary traction wise....im just curious what everyones opinions on those gears are, yeah highway miledge goes do, but its not like my car is gonna see the highway all the time, if it did, 3.73s, and with 4.10s id probably still get well over 20 if i cruised at a reasonable speed (55-75mph)

but, oppinions, who likes witch gear better?

No matter which of those ratios you choose, get the trac-lok too.

id do other mods before u jummp to 4.30's hell even 4.10s like drivetrain stuff... wish i woulda!

with my new crappy transmission im going to have a gt converter, ill probably get a DS before the gears, and of coarse a chip, with the gears, other then that and the forced lube tailshaft mod, aint a whole lot i have money to do, o i dont know what i was thinking with "who likes it??" but it was late and i was tired and hyper at the same time

4.88s, hmmmmmmm.....thats kinda hot, maybe, but a little to much for me

p.s., i think id have to be on drugs to get a 4.10 open or 4.30 open rear lol

even 4.30's aren't too much for a 1/4 mile pass, but on the highway, you'd be turning just under 3000rpms at 75mph (assuming stock tire size). I don't know about you, but one thing I like about my bird is the lower rpm cruising.

4.10's all the way.......I would have gotten 4.30's but 4.10 seems to be plenty of gear. Joey i know you like the 4.10's. Really wakes the car up. First and second gear pull so hard.......either way 4.10 or 4.30s.......the car will get up out of the hole alot quicker.

i agree, i'd go with 4.10's. thats what i got and i love them. i know i wouldnt want my rpms up any higher than they are now on the highway. I personally feel that they are to high for consistent highway cruising at about 70-75 mph. i try to stay around 60-65 mph on the highway now just to keep the rpms down around 2200-2300. before i used to cruise at about 75-80 mph on the highway and rpms were at about 2300-2400. around town though and at the track they're great. the 4.10 gears are by far the best mod i've done to my car so far. I dont do much highway driving though. If you do a lot of highway driving i wouldnt go any higher than 3.73's.
